not just for kids

The Oreos obviously bit the dust.  Besides Oreos, I also have an unhealthy love for Stauffer’s animal crackers. When I was in college, I used to buy the giant bear shaped tub.  I have since learned to stick to the mini sized bag often available in the dollar bins at Target.

No I didn’t trace that horse, though I tried.  That right there is pure artistic talent. And yes, I did smear the writing 🙁  One of the downfalls of working with chalk.

After we made our chocolate covered pretzels, my mom (knowing my love for animal crackers) brought over chocolate covered animal crackers.  How come I didn’t think of that! I suppose it was our rookie attempt at chocolate covered pretzels and we didn’t think outside the box of what we could possibly dip in that chocolate.  Next time I’m dipping whatever is in the fridge…..

No, we’re not having a baby.  We came home from dinner tonight to find this…

As if turning on the stove MULTIPLE times wasn’t enough, the kittens have now discovered the under the sink cabinet full of hazardous materials.

After I realized that I could downsize the Oreos to a smaller jar, I knew something had to be done.

Thank god I ate 4 before the warning was issued!

not just milk’s favorite…

Last night Mike ran to Rite Aid to pick up some toothpaste and brought home Oreos.  Not for himself, he’s a good husband and bought them for me.  But Oreos are my weakness and I can’t eat just 1, or 3, or 5. At least they will look pretty in my jars for the 2 days they will last.

I think that in the time that passed between the first and last picture, about 4 Oreos went missing.  I blame Macky.  Until the evidence appears on my hips.

more pretty peppers!

I went to the farm again to pick up our veggies yesterday and saw a bin of green, light green and purple peppers together.  I should have taken a picture of all of them because they were just so pretty.  But then again, if you’ve browsed our wedding pictures, you know that I love the purple/green combo.

I overhead someone at the farm say how delicious the purple peppers were last week.  We didn’t eat ours, but maybe we’ll venture out this week and give it a shot. But for now, I put my pepper friends in the usual countertop bowl, accompanied by a spaghetti squash, some tomatoes and some other peppers.

I say purple is my favorite color, but I’m usually more attracted to turquoisey-blue/greens.  But I think I need to get some purple in this house… Shh don’t tell Mike…
